Our boutiques department is looking to add a dynamic Associate Buyer to the team. As the Home Accessories & Decor Associate Buyer, you will support the team by facilitating new home accessory product assortments through our various retail boutique locations as well as through our online boutique website, schumacherboutique.com. Armed with an interest in interior design and an ability to distill business needs into products, the right candidate will thrive in our fun and fast-paced environment. This position will report to the Home Accessories & Decor Buyer. 


YOU WILL:

  • Create purchase orders for products to be sold at our Schumacher Boutiques, currently located in Nashville and opening this spring in Charlotte
  • Compile data and pricing to create SKUs for new goods, both for in store and online
  • Coordinate with vendors and internal boutiques team to gather imagery of products for website
  • QA boutique website upon launches of new products
  • Assist with sourcing new home accessories, decor, and giftable items for the Schumacher Boutique
  • Communicate directly with vendors, assisting with buying of goods and negotiations
  • Assist with vendor relations, inclusive of setting up new vendors and following up on payments
  • Conduct product pricing analysis and market comparisons, as well as monthly and quarterly sell-through reports
  • Work closely with our boutique teams on customer requests; communicate and distribute information on new assortments and price changes as needed
  • Pull monthly sales reports on products sold at all boutique locations, tracking trends across cities
  • Propose product assortment themes for weekly email newsletters and for features on the boutique website
  • Organize product into categories and sub-categories on the boutique website as needed
  • Assist with occasional brand-licensing partnerships as well as product development for small Schumacher accessories (wrapping paper, candles, holiday stockings, etc.)

Job requirements

YOU HAVE/ARE:

  • 1-2 years’ experience
  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • A discerning eye and strong aesthetic sensibility
  • A knowledge of and passion for interior design
  • Keen attention to detail
  • A self-motivated, proactive, and positive attitude
  • The ability to multi-task and the willingness to be a team player, while effectively meeting deadlines
  • Strong project management and planning skills
  • Eagerness to learn while keeping up in a fast-paced environment
  • Willingness to travel
  • Competency in Microsoft Office, including Excel. Basic knowledge of InDesign and Photoshop is a plus

This is Hybrid Role, and you will be based Onsite 3 to 4 Days Week in our beautiful NYC Corporate Headquarters.
