About the Role:

You will join Schumacher’s product development team for a series of rotational assignments to manage key fabric and wallpaper printing projects and support hands-on the development of digital and screen prints. The ideal candidate will be versed in AVA and Photoshop, with knowledge of digital fabric printing and color matching.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Work directly with print operators to give feedback on color matching, files, and print quality
  • Directly adjust digital printing files as necessary
  • Maintain tracker of key digital and screen-printing projects, providing weekly progress report to leadership
  • Act as liaison between design & product teams and mill to ensure notes are shared in a clear and timely fashion

Job requirements

Job Requirements:

  • Willingness to temporarily relocate based on assignment; including to Panama City, Florida; Brooklyn, NY, and Northern New Jersey
  • Minimum 3 years related experience in textile design
  • Strong computer skills, expertise in photoshop, and knowledge of textile-based software VA or other textile CAD programs
  • Eye for color and ability to give color notes on designs
  • Ability to manage several projects at once and pivot to a new task at a moment’s notice
  • Ability to work independently and efficiently under pressure, follow directions, stay organized, and happily execute revisions with a high level of accuracy
  • BFA in Textile Design or related experience in design and project management and planning
